Hey Giovanni, tell me, how do you like Helvetica?
I try not to use the font too much. It works for too much things, and it would make designing boring. I love all the different typefaces that are being offered, and I find more satisfaction in finding the perfect font for each design.
What did you try to change on the original?
When I analysed Helvetica, I tried to re-create some characteristic shapes. I found out that it is actually far from perfect. Visually it works, but not on a geometric level. This triggered the urge to design a strict, geometric typeface. I wanted to see the effect and what it would cause visually. Arce3000 is the result.
